The Internal Throttle Assembly from Exile Cycles is absolutely essential for any self-respecting custom bike. The unit installs in the end of your handlebars eliminating any visible throttle housing and allowing the throttle cable to be routed inside the bars for that super-clean look. This is our STANDARD internal throttle and the twist-sleeve standard outside diameter (1.145") is the same as that of the stock Harley Davidson plastic throttle sleeve. This unit works with any grip that fits over the stock throttle sleeve, as almost all rubber grips do. The Internal Throttle Assembly is generally supplied for use with stock 1" handlebar tubing, but other handlebar insert diameters can be requested by calling 818 706 1230. Note that all aftermarket 'large diameter' bars have 1" tubing end sections - the diameter of the 'main' part of the bar is irrelevant to your throttle choice.

NOTE: a throttle cable is not included with the internal throttle. When converting to an internal throttle you will need a throttle cable with the adjuster positioned either at the carb/throttle body or positioned mid-cable (the stock cable has the adjuster at the handlebar end). Most internal throttle customers also order our cable, part number TCK.
NOTE: for decades now all bikes (except TBW of course) have been manufactured with dual throttle cables, but the 'return' cable is simply a government requirement, and it is not necessary for the throttle to function perfectly, as the return spring on the carb or throttle body will snap the throttle shut. SO, just because your bike has two throttle cables currently does NOT mean you can't run an internal throttle. Almost every one we've ever sold (and we've been selling them over 25 years) ends up on a 'dual cable' bike.
